Our mission is to help reduce waste, save resources and money, share repair skills and bring joy to the local community.

Bring your broken or worn item to the Repair Cafe event and our volunteers will try to repair it and/or give advice on what can be done.  Neighbor-made sweet treats will be available.

We are very grateful to be supported by a Zero Waste Grant from the San Francisco Environment Department  (as of March 2026).

"Once upon a time, when things broke, we repaired them. Today, most of us briefly consider repair - then do some mental maths and realize the necessary tools would cost us more than just buying a replacement off Amazon.

The Haight-NOPA repair cafe takes those additional costs out of the equation. Bring them all things broken, and their team of volunteers will try their absolute hardest to fix it - free of charge!"
